Training

We are a BHS ‘Where to Train’ centre and promote continuous professional development for our own staff and students.  We have a central ethos of learning in an enjoyable environment and all our staff are encouraged to continue studying and taking examinations.

Borlum is a wonderful place to come to train, whether on a long term or short term basis.

We are delighted to be bringing the opportunity of taking BHS exams to this part of the Highlands, and indeed with flight links improving all the time from London, Leeds, Newcastle, Belfast and Dublin, this opportunity is open to you wherever you live.

Our next exam is the British Equestrian Tourism Ride Leader exam in April 2008 – contact Rhoda or Pauline on 01456 450220 for further details, or e-mail info@borlum.com or rhoda@makingstrides.co.uk. The refresher course will run from Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd April and the BET RL/ARL exam will take place on Thursday 24th April.

We also hope to host our first BHS Stage One exam on Monday 28th April 2008 and are waiting for confirmation from Stoneleigh.  Stage One training is being offered on Saturdays through February, March and April and see our events page for dates.

We've been asked to host a BHS Riding and Road Safety exam on Sunday 20th April, as this is a requirement for the BET exams.  You can get further details from the BHS on www.bhs.org.uk.  Specific R&RS training will also be offered.
