We are pleased to announce that the Highland Riding Centre has recently become a Centre Member of the Pony Club (UK).
The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding with around 345 Branches and 600 Centres in the UK alone. The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members and medal winners.
Any child can become a Member of our Pony Club Centre and have access to all benefits of the membership, i.e. PC activities (camps, rallies), training, tests and achievements, competitions in any of the PC disciplines (dressage, jumping, eventing, mounted games, polo, tetrathlon, hunting, etc), without having to purchase their own pony or horse. We offer a range of ponies and horses which will be suitable for Pony Club activities at different levels.

**Our Pony CLub NEWS** 6th  November 2011 – PONY CLUB OPEN DAY

On the 6th of November we had a fun open day to celebrate the launch of the Highland Riding Centre becoming a Centre member of the Pony Club (UK).
Around 30 children took part in this open day, their parents, other members of family and friends came along to watch the riders in action - grooming ponies and tacking up, performing a drill ride, playing fun mounted games and learning parts of the pony and tack by means of various games. The mounted games proved to be very exciting for the crowd as nobody could resist cheering for their favorite team! The youngest children who took part in this Open day were just over 5 years old and if they weren't yet capable of riding independently the older children or members of staff helped them by leading their ponies on a lead rope. It's been a great day full of smiles and excitement - children are looking forward to the future learning and achievements and cannot wait until they will be able to sew their first badge on to the sleeve of their smart sweatshirt. A big thank you to all children and their parents and everyone who made this day happen.

Some of the photographs taken on the day could be view in our Riding Gallery or on our Highland Riding Centre Horse Shoe Club & Pony Club Facebook page.
